Adapted from review written by Public Relations Executive, Kathleen Neal, about her trip facilitated by Global Surgery Providers
Kathleen Neal, President of Arnold Neal Communications in Atlanta, Ga., describes her dental vacation to Costa Rica as, “one of the most relaxing and enjoyable weeks of my life.”
First Impressions
It’s the beginning of the rainy season in Costa Rica. Former volcanoes form staggering peaks lush with greenery. Bound by the Caribbean Sea on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, this is a land that has something for everyone. Beaches, a magnificent rain forest, active volcanoes and roaring rapids in splendid rivers are all within a few hours’ drive from Costa Rica’s capital, San Jose.
San Jose teems with both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Along Second Avenue, an automobile-free zone, walkers enjoy visiting the many stores and restaurants. Pleasant parks are plentiful, with benches for resting and spending a few minutes people-watching. (more…)

The World is Your Oyster. Make The Most of it With Resources Abroad

In developing your personal network of global resources embrace the internet.
Yes, you can meet some questionable contacts but you also have a better chance than ever, thanks to the internet, of discovering a person’s reputation.
It’s a small world. You can’t hide – especially if you’re putting yourself out on the public airwaves.
Identify people you recognize as like-minded and then reach out to communicate with them directly.
It’s the purpose of Traveling4health to give people a space to do that. And in March we will launch our social media site to make that possible.
In the meantime, and so that this blog is not perceived as a “marketing piece” for Traveling4Health, let me recommend to you Simon Black’s very entertaining and story-telling style of “telling it like it is” from the perspective of someone who’s developing these resources for himself and sharing them with the world.
When it comes to casting your lifestyle survival net a little wider – the world is your oyster; make the most of it!

In their Nov 2009 report, “Medical Tourism: Update and Implications“, The Deloitte Center for Health Solutions has published the AMA’s nine guidelines for patients traveling overseas for medical care.
Such guidelines indicate the AMA’s recognition of medical tourism as a growing trend that cannot be ignored.
Medical tourism is now widely recognized in white papers and professional publications as representing an important option for patient populations who need care but lack adequate out-of-pocket funds to afford a procedure in the U.S., or who seek lower prices, as well as those patient populations who seek alternative treatments and have the freedom to travel for better healthcare outcomes.
